It's Christmas eve!
And I have been married for 5 months and 18 days!
It's funny that time has whizzed so quickly by and we are now celebrating special occasions together for all the first times with our newly stamped status of a newly wed. It's been nice. :)
Married life had been easier than I had imagined. Transitions were smooth and everyone had gotten along. I can never ask for more. It would definitely be one on the top of my "thankful" list this Christmas. It also touched my heart to know and be told of how much my family missed and loved me at home. I never knew that mushy side of them until I had moved out. It's strange, isn't it, that you don't miss things or people till they are gone. Although I am not 'gone', I'm just not living in the same house. I make it a point to visit every week and make my usual 'ruckus'/noise just because that's what I normally do.
I miss making my dad laugh.
I miss teasing my mum.
I miss seeing my brothers work out and witnessing the effects of their diet plans.
I miss watching them 'grow up' on a daily basis.
I miss nagging at them to study.
Life goes on, and we take it one step at a time as it comes at us. Sometimes like a pending raincloud you see moving towards you from a distance, sometimes like a surprise when you just realised someone had bought you a christmas present though you hadn't bought them one, and you are left with no time to return the favour. haha
Till next time!
