Proverbs 4:23-27

23 Above all else, guard your heart,

       for it is the wellspring of life.

 24 Put away perversity from your mouth;
       keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead,
       fix your gaze directly before you.

 26 Make level paths for your feet
       and take only ways that are firm.

 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left;
       keep your foot from evil.

People tend to sin when they have nothing better to do, when there isn't a strong desire to do what is good to pull them from their sinful thinking and doing. Then when you start sinning, we're superbly good at coming up with reasons to defend what we do. So stop.

What's my heart captured at the moment? Where do all my thoughts go? What drives me?
Are they for the greater good of my dear heavenly Father? for His people?

There's power in the spoken Word, and your own spoken voice. Speak life. Defect thoughts that pull you down. Focus on what you can do, should do, need to do, and DO IT!

I want to get jogging... up to running speed, for the glory of a greater purpose.
