That Song to Give

Yixin wrote about worship leaders finding the song that God placed in their hearts to minister to His people.

I think that it's just such an amazing gift, cos to me, a worship leader, or singer, or musician, etc... is someone who is like a voice of the rest of the people to communicate with God, to thank Him, to praise Him, to express sorrow and struggle... I was listening to music when it occurred to me that these Levites express in music and words not just for God, but also for us, laymen, to worship God. The cries and the joys of simply singing and playing music reaches God in ways that some of us are limited in, like say we're tone deaf, or not musically-inclined, and somehow we find it difficult to express ourselves in melodies. Musicians are the representatives of musical worship to God because they help to carry our hearts cry.

But same goes for any other aspect of ministry or profession.

Ushers and hosts embraces people into the family. They're the extended hands.
Teachers and Pastors impart knowledge and wisdom. They're like extended Holy Spirits to us.
Business people earn wealth for God. And they use it to prosper His Kingdom and help His people in need.
Scientists help bring God's healing and mysteries known to us. They are like the 'middle man' of God's miracles.
Counselors comfort people and help them find their strength.
Gentle people show God's gentleness.
Compassionate people show His compassion.

You get the point. The list goes on. There's a thousand and a thousand. =D

Everything you do, it is also an extension of God in you. So do it with all your heart, soul and mind, cos you never know how God is ministering or impacting another person through what you say, do and everything else.
