Hope

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." - Proverbs 13:12

I think i'll be hoping more this season. strange season indeed. i pray that i won't fall sick.

Perhaps one of the best things in this world is to see something that you've hoped for fulfilled after so long.

its like a major feeling of completeness somehow,

Like you finally found that last piece of jigsaw puzzle to finish your puzzle.
Like you finally found your size in a crazy sale.
Like finding the perfect arrangement for a music composition
or finding the perfect word to finish the poem.
Like winning a lottery in the midst of bankrupcy.
Like seeing a raincloud in drought seasons.
Like finding your way home when you've lost your sight.
Like seeing a loved one waking up from coma, or healed of a disease.
Like finishing a marathon with a disability.
Like finding someone you love who loves you dearly and truely.
Like giving birth to a healthy child after nine months of burden.
Like migrating birds finally reaching their destination in the south.
Like returning sons, husbands and loved ones after a long war,
or like the march of the penguins returning safely to their clan.
Or seeing a sign of hope, that keeps you going on when you have lost all other strength.

i admire the people of old in the bible, they wait for years, decades or even a whole generation, to witness the fulfilment of His Promises. they persevere because God promised. they hold Him to His Word and He is true to His Word. that's belief, with faith, and not giving up... even though the skies don't seem to clear up anytime soon.
I think of Joseph and his promise-filled life.

"Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life."
- Proverbs 4:23
