This is one of the rich estates in Perth, called Dalkeith. As you can see, it is a suburb next to the Swan River. It's strange now that in the past, settlements live by the river for agricultural irrigation but now, people just like to live there because it is beautiful. The World of the Rich.
Anyhow, geography aside.
Just outside the big and rich homes is a lovely and quiet small park that overlooks Swan River. What a nice house.
One day we were tired of cooking and Qin ordered Broadway Pizza for dinner and drove us to that park to eat. The sun was still far from setting at about 6.30pm.
Aww~ My first pizza picnic date in Perth on a grassy park. hehe. How thoughtful of him. I love picnics. and pizzas were yummy too! mmm.. Thin crusts... I like.
There was a magpie looking at our food too. So cute to see wild parrots around. Quite refreshing to see them outside a cage, the birdpark and people's homes. Didn't take a picture of them though.
I love how it is so quiet and peaceful in that area. After dinner, Qin and I decided to do some spying and followed some cars, in particularly Asians driving those nice cars, just to see where they live. and WHOA, they live grand. Big homes, big garages, and very decorated gardens. haha. Living spontaneously over here right now, and feeding off a bit of adventure. yum. It helps to have 2 weird people who like to do weird things together. =)
I feel such a sharp contrast to when I was working on RenovAID where I only saw poor homes, and now, I'm driven around to see so many big luxurious houses. What is life all about?
Ok, time for me to get out of the library and meet Qin. We're sending a friend off to S'pore right after this. Ciao! or should I say, Cheers!
