Having a big family means something in this flu crisis: The chances of exposure is higher! haha
Last week began with 2 of my brothers down with high fever, but thank God it's not THE H1N1. None of us needed to be detained. "yes bro, you're NOT going to die..."
My first brother happily skipped to Tekong for army camp, thinking he'd be safer there than with us at home who were busy spreading some virus around.
Who knew, swine flu struck Tekong! At least my brother's company wasn't near the hot spot and didn't suffer the quarantine at camp. He booked out with a lost voice and sore throat from all the shouting he had to do at camp.
He decided to check up at the doctor's in case and guess what, they decided to quarantine him at Changi General Hospital for 48hrs, just in case. Honestly, I was more worried that he'll catch the flu THERE than at home. Apparently the influx of army guys at the hospital was overwhelming and the hospital released my brother after 24 hours instead. =) He's been fine all along. Thank God.
Thank God for my health too, looking after the sickly(s) at home hasn't gotten me down too much. oh good oh good.
Latest news: Heard my cousin and family are all home quarantined for a week because they were on the same plane as several coughing passengers. I hope they're ok.
