Director's workshop is over!
half glad, half dread.
it was pretty interesting, though it was the slackest shoot i've probably ever been on (fly by night was physically tougher), and the most vague story i've had to shoot (we were constantly consolidating our story around an idea, though it wasn't so bad). but we managed to put it altogether pretty well. Riri did seem to like it. of course I had very good people in my group. 4 of us forming the smallest group. it was cool. i think i learnt the most from my peers, and the one-to-one consultation session with the director.
there's so much to think about!
I like him, man! he's such a director who gives honest feedback, sees 'through' the film and has an understanding to evaluate a film quickly after 1 screening. and he remembers it even after a whole day. of course he has his own opinions. though i just wished he would dish out more things. craving for more.
For the voice i lack in my speech, let me make up for it or more in my films.
Get crazy.
also had a chat with a certain tbt and was enlightened to see making films as a privilege. yes, it really is. it's like a certain sort of robin hood theory. a voice for the un-voiced. Thank God for talks like this to get me in shape. see the big picture, u know? was reminded also that many people don't do what they study to do.
we go to school to learn to learn, so we can continue to learn and teach ourselves after we graduate.
well, now it's back to the sch rush. got digital painting assignment due tmr and i don't get an extension for coming to this workshop. =( i don't have a wacom tablet! :-O!
