yays!
ok, didn't update for a while. there're so many things to rush and today's friday! yay... mothers' day is this sunday, so i better quickly think of what to do for precious mummy.
I've processed my application to go to UCLA this June already. So if everything is smooth, I should be there for studies from 25 June to 3August. 6 weeks.
I had a great time with joanne at vivocity the other day. My first time at vivo! okok, so we were stuck in school and all, but it was a pretty nice place. we didn't realise we were walking round and round and round... until we realised we did. ha. I've discovered my latest favourite drink besides lime juice, haha.. it's called Ying Yang. But a friend said that it was called Yuan Yang. Whicheverways, it's a mixture of kopi and teh (coffee and tea). can get high drinking that. haha. sometimes company of people whom we can share like a diary is all we need. i had a great time.
Earlier this week, a few of us also decided to go out on an adventure (my favourite thing to do.. haha). We all wanted to take photos and so... pangren, royston and myself went on a totally spontaneous journey around Singapore starting from NTU Jurong Point, armed with our cameras, and we just took any bus that would lead us anywhere. haha. We had wanted to go to the Sembawang Hot Springs cos none of us had been there before, so we headed towards the north. boarded 178 (actually, it was a just, whichever-bus-comes-first decision) and happily began our journey to shoot things (with our camera). We did pass by a place that looked really runned down covered in high bushes that looked like some temple-ish place.Royston said it was the Former Tang Village. After 4 stops, pr and me felt the urge to go back so we stopped the bus and just alighted, point to the general direction and just whack. go. we ended up at Singapore Science Center first! hahaha... hung around there a bit and we walked somemore. but losing our integrity of the spirit of true adventure (what nonsense), we ended up taking a cab.apparently it was quite a journey if we walked, so thank God for cabs. haha.
I couldn't believe what I saw when we arrived. Were we in China? It was the most awesome place/thing I've seen in Singapore. It was like a mini great wall of China in Singapore. The Former Tang Village is an abandoned sightseeing tourist place at Yuan Ching Road, Jurong. It was built in the style of the Tang Dynasty of China. wow. you should see the state it is in right now. all torn, trashed, burnt, mosquito infested (yes i'm still iching terribly right now). there's broken glass everywhere, doors of buildings strewn all over. but it was a really beautiful place. i felt like i was in the streets of China. awesome. totally. I shall upload photos next time.
then we ended the day with a feast at boonlay market with malcolm who joined us. okay, so we didn't travel THAT far, but it was still cool. =) enough to exhaust ourselves and have a good sleep. we ought to do that more often!! so when's our next trip? =D
