Me@Island-wideChristmas Party.tcc (Part 1)

Video ministry had a christmas project for us, so over the weekend, we were teamed up and were running around visiting (or rather crashing) a christmas party from the Island-wide Christmas Party to shoot them! *bang bang... hee.. well, my team visited a cell in the north district, and it was one fantastic party!! so cool. They had a program that's called "progressive dinner", which is an interesting concept of moving from place to place for different courses of their dinner. The first place was like, the appetiser. 2nd place was main course (of turkey, ham, stuff like that), and the 3rd place was DESSERT!!! yay!! i love their desserts! They had all the most sinful food in the world. haha.. like truffles, brownies, fruitcake, pastries and a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!! awesome man, it was my first chocolate fountain i've ever had in my life. And the video team was happily indulging in the fondue.. aww.. I've also never had so much instructions on eating my dinner before! haha.. the members at the cell were so welcoming and friendly, their humour was hilarious! yeah, so there was one member who was directing how i had my dinner.. like how the ham must have this sauce, and turkey with this, must have alot of this, put this here, then andrew(video team leader) had to add in the instructions with the salad part. haha. it was all in a good spirit. =) I must say, the family cell sure can whip up a feast!

I joined them at location 2. And there, the host had the largest home aquarium i've ever seen. He breeds Discus fishes. and they were so pretty and colourful. He has like, 20 tanks or sth, those large tanks with fishes everywhere! It was so professional! It just doesn't have a pricetag on the tanks, that's all. haha..awesome.

At the end of the party, we were even given presents!! so paiseh, cos we didn't expect it and the camera team didn't bring any.. we were supposed to be invisible people! (yeah, they also called us the invisible ones..haha) And it was another first time that i see how they distributed presents. By drawing lots but, almost in a biblical way, cos the "last shall be the first", the person with the higher number gets to choose the presents of those with a smaller number. the person who gets number 1 will pick a present first, but it might be exchanged with another person who eyes that one. haha.. it was so funny seeing everyone's reaction. I got a number 6 and picked up a pretty mug. it really was pretty. Andrew had number 7, and he picked up a plush santa toy. haha.. and he exchanged it with me. so now i have the cute santa. but i like it so its ok. very soft and hug-friendly. hee.. ;)

And even though we were there for the first time, they had a sharing session and everyone shared from the bottom of their hearts. it was the most tender sharing session i've had. even the new comers. everyone was so personal that i also shared one that no one has ever heard from me. it was all sweet and they were encouraging. and i also got to understand them more too. The question that most people got was, "What is the one thing that you're willing to die for?". Which uncannily reminds me of my film. It was a question taken from a postcard from some museum.

yup, one of the warmest christmas parties i've gone for that i can remember. and with total strangers too! how ironic. but well, life is full of ironies, isn't it? =D

Now, i just pray that our section party on the 22nd will be just a blast!! =) if not, people at least will understand christmas more and be thankful.
