The Children We Have Now...

Was just in Manna Bookshop trying to find a gift for someone in my cell when I read a book that says this of a nursery rhyme:

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again

But the King could.

I thought it was cool. Especially after Power Weekend where we saw so much healing taking place. Only God can heal when no one else can.

And what's the society coming to? Talking about nursery rhymes, don't kids nowadays know any of them anymore? Whatever happened to child-like innocence ( of some kids)?

I was just on a bus home when there were two kids about 7 or 8years old sitting in front of me. One of them was playing on a portable PS game, and the other one was playing his MP3 music out loud on his handphone. My handphone doesn't even has MP3! haha.. besides the point. My point is, this little kiddo's music playlist was full of.. yeah well, the latest hits. but what struck me was.. they were listening to such sensual music and explicit lyrics at their age! they're still primary school kids! oh for crying out loud... I really wonder about everyone saying, yeah, society is becoming more open and all. But what sort of information are people getting at their age? Do they know what to do with it? I don't think many people are ready to know stuff and to discern whether it's right or not, or whether it's good for them or not.. at 7 or 8 years old.. sigh... And this isn't the only incident i saw regarding this whole issue thing.

I wonder how these children will be like when they grow up.

Anyways, I've got stories to write. gotta do them pronto.
