What a day fri has been for me. it was really quite amazing. well, let me start from the beginning.
thurs night i suddenly had a thought: should i wear my track shoes to sch?
it was weird, cos i have been wearing my black slippers all along.so i ignored the thought.
fri morning i thought again:should i wear my shoes instead? after i locked my door this thought asked me again. well, i locked my door already, so i was lazy to open it and take out my socks, so i wore my black slippers.
happily walking. i crossed the small road to the sheltered path.see wet floor.oh.take a step. then i slipped.and cut my toe. now i have a hole in my left big toe, bleeding as i walked up the treacherous sao hill (its the highest pt in ntu btw...i think). immediately i knew God wanted me to wear shoes to protect myself. ok nvm, it was funny.haha, next time i'll listen to You ok?thank God Ellen had a plaster for me or the hole would be covered in green foam dust...(from 3D lesson).thanks ellen!
guess what happened after that. in a queue at lunch, the guy in front of me, with nicely polished leather shoes, turned around and KICKED my toes!it was the same foot. i knew i should have worn shoes. haha...
that evening i was supposed to help with the set up for the student leader conference. i decided to be good and wear my shoes instead. AND THEN, silly me had this shoe rubbing against my wound! ouch? ... ...
suddenly i recalled this story in the bible abt not following the timing of God.that in the end, this guy lost this battle badly cos he decided to fight it much later when God told him that if he had fought earlier,he'd have won. well, i had fun learning His word this way anyways :)
So i should have worn my shoes on friday...
